At BACK TO BASIC, we encourage independence as it is crucial for children to think independently. This way they learn to be self reliant, confident, and also to develop a feeling of self worth and identity. Children are also encouraged to be team players through sharing and cooperating with others in their various group activities.
Our teachers will always hold your child’s hand every step of the way but allow them to be independent.
The children are introduced to 5 courses. These include language arts where the little ones are coached on phonics, recognition of sound and name. The child is also taught how to recognize short consonants and vowels. They are coached on how to recognize blending of sounds, reading of stories, and sentences with vowels. Our caring teachers lead the children all the way through and pay extra attention to any who may be lagging behind. Poetry also forms a major addition to the curriculum at this age.
Your child is introduced to Spanish; the culture and language. He or she is trained on the phonetics and short sentence configurations. At this tender age, children can quickly learn a new language.
Group activities and time is a great way for the children to make friends, express their true feelings and interact positively. Physical education is highly encouraged.
